⭐ Introducing our High West (STORE PICK) 100 Proof Bourbon finished in a Cabernet Cask! 🥳
⭐ This is an undisclosed blend of multiple different Bourbons aged between 4-9yrs with a rough mashbill of 70-80% Corn, 10-20% Rye, and the remaining % being Malted Barley. Over 50% of the Whiskey is derived from their own Distillate in Utah, while the remaining % being MGP. They took a portion of that blend and finished it in a Cabernet Cask for an undisclosed amount of time which was labeled Batch #23D19. 🔥

⭐ My first thought that came to mind upon first sip is.. What a delicious pour straight out of the bottle!! It has a very rich flavor for a 100 Proof Bourbon along with a round mouthfeel and soft-medium oak tannins on the finish. Before tasting it, it has an inviting nose of sweet red fruit and aged oak. On the palette, I get plenty of deep dark fruit -- think figs, black cherry, cassis -- along with a subtle almond nuttiness and dark chocolate undertones that finishes with hints of melted caramel and toffee. Overall, it has great structure and balance with a long finish. Traditionalists need not be afraid of the Cabernet cask finish on this one as it doesn't lean too heavy into it. I'm excited to revisit this in a week to see how it evolves, but this could definitely be one of my favorite bottles at $50 or under. 🤤
⭐ Another fun fact, this Batch #23D19 is one of Jamie Sebesta's early projects that he personally led and supervised and he is now a Master Distiller at High West! 🤙
