Presenting, the Boston Rum Social Club Store Pick for Rhum JM 2014 French Oak! This is a 6 year old Agricole Rhum, bottled at 48% ABV. It started its journey spending 4 years in ex-bourbon casks and then was transferred to French Oak casks for 2 additional years.
It was blindtasted alongside Rhum JM XO and it presents many different qualities to the table. With the additional proof from the standard offerings, this offering has more body and bolder flavor. You get the grassy, raw sugarcane character of Agricole but with a bunch of baking spices, vanilla, and caramel from that French Oak. We're very happy with this offering and look forward to sipping it easily since it’s not cask strength. The 96 proof makes it very easy to drink! Cheers!!
